Jeff Fisher trying to get PR any way he can

If you missed the St Louis Rams vs Washington Redskins game last week, and even if you watched it, you missed Coach Jeff Fisher poking at RGIII.

Before I get into the one-ups-manship Fisher was trying to accomplish lets look at a couple things.

  • Rams are 6-7 and not very good
  • Rams are in the rumors of moving to LA after the season
  • Jeff Fisher has yet to have a winning or even 500 season in St Louis

Any way you look at it Fisher is probably a bitter old codger now-a-days. He had a winning record with the Titans and now he comes over to St Louis all hyped up and lays eggs. Like most people out there when we are down we like to drag others with us. So last game against the Redskins Fisher decided to play a mind game with, well um the Redskin front office since few others would even notice. For the opening coin toss the titans ran out there 6 players: Janoris Jenkins, Michael Brockers, Zac Stacy, Stedman Bailey, Greg Robinson and Alec Ogletree. Normally no one would notice or care who was out there for the coin toss but these 6 sorta signify something, at least to the Rams. All 6 of those players started the game and the one player all six of them were traded for did not, RGIII. Yup way back when the Rams had the number 2 pick in the draft, which they traded to the Redskins for a boatload of players (The six I have listed above) so that the Redskins could draft RGIII. After the first season everyone thought Washington found its future and it was a terrible trade for the Rams. Currently however it appears that not only did the Rams win that trade but Fisher wanted to rub it in someones face. Seriously Jeff, kind of a poor sport move but whatever. RGIII looks to be on his way out of Washington come the end of the year and the Rams wont make the playoffs, so in the end it’s one bad team trying to one up another bad team.

“Would it save you a lot of time if I just gave up and went mad now?”
